A new batch of Suezmax tankers construction modules built in Fene arrive at Puerto Real

After the first two construction modules of the two Suezmax tankers, currently being built by NAVANTIA for IBAIZABAL GROUP, arrived at the Puerto Real shipyard in the past June, a new batch was delivered this month.

On this occasion IBERIAN OFFSHORE participated in this project at the service of the freight forwarder ALTIUS, charged with the engineering of the operation.

The scope of IBERIAN OFFSHORE consisted of the seafastening design, and COREMARINE performed the towing study and barge stability assessment. A newly created service was successfully tested in the trip: a device developed by  COREMARINE, that enabled live tracking of the roll and pitch movements of the barge, and offered a continuous feed of several statistics such as the mentioned motions, meteorological data, location and speed. This services allows our clients to constantly monitor the loadings experienced by the cargo.
