El pasado sábado 15 de Septiembre, en el campo de rugby de Puerta de Hierro de Madrid, tuvo lugar el enfrentamiento entre el actual equipo de rugby de la ETSIN y un conjunto de veteranos de anteriores temporadas.
El evento reunió a cerca de 300 personas entre jugadores, familias y amigos, y el buen ambiente, clásico en los terceros tiempos de rugby, reinó durante todo el día. Una vez más, los veteranos tuvieron la oportunidad de enseñar a los pececitos que el famoso dicho “el que tuvo, retuvo” sigue siendo aplicable, y vendieron cara una ajustada derrota.
Dado que el anterior evento de este tipo tuvo lugar hace más de 10 años, se decidió dar continuidad a esta celebración mediante la creación de una web, que recoge todo tipo de información del equipo, jugadores en activo y jugadores retirados, así como fotos del evento. Last Saturday the Puerta de Hierro rugby field (Madrid, Spain) was host to a competitive and friendly game between the current team of the Madrid Naval Architecture School (ETSIN) and a team of retired players.
The event gathered nearly 300 people and turned out to be a fantastic family fun event with friends old and new. The good old spirit of rugby reigned throughout the event in the typical fashion, with the summer sun beaming down and making it a scorcher of a day. Once again, the goldies proved that experience is one of the key factors in rugby and dominated a tight game, despite the final win for the active players team. Well done to every one who participated.
